Suicides is taxable and fineable. Suicide is an asset to the state.
The Lex Romana Visogothorum, of the early sixth century, authorizes the king to confiscate a suicide’s possessions, but according to a simple distinction. If suicide is remorse for a crime committed then the possessions fall to the king. If suicide is shame for debts or illness or distaste for life then there shall be no royal confiscation.
In Capetian France of the thirteenth century, suicides are assessed a tax, in which one-third shall go to the king Saint Louis, Louis IX.
In the fifteenth century, the Ancien Custome d’Anjou establishes that suicides forfeit their property “to the lord, baron … or others with rights of justice …”
Elsewhere, a suicide’s fields are simply burned.

To accomplish rewriting the human condition in words so as to rewrite the world a story must discover or devise what is called an absolutely outrageous strength that is pure and powerful enough to rectify human hunger.
An absolutely outrageous strength goes by many names with one principal purpose within a story, which is to do the work of proper gravity to set human hunger to right and according to the design of an acceptable human condition, which is to say to bring human hunger finally under control according to an immutable and irresistible force heretofore unknown and now revealed.
In no particular order, absolutely outrageous strengths include: The gods. A Hero. A godly God. A godly Emporer. The Philosopher-King. The Divine Right of Kings. A Clean Slate. The Church. The Enlightenment. Reason. Science. Natural law. Individual autonomy. The Faculty of Universal Morality. Human Rights. The People. The Good. The greater Good. The even better Good. The Best of the Best. The invisible hand. The Iron Fist. The Iron Claw. The Prince. A Dictator. The Party. The Logic of Being. The Logic of History. Consciousness. A Global Revolution. Progress. The Primordial. Technology. Creativity. Civilization. Kultur. Counter-culture. The Veil of Ignorance. The Other. Social Movements. An Elegantly Designed Circuity of Social Systems. The number of versions of an absolutely outrageous strength that storywriters come up with in their stories that can truly and finally rectify human hunger to set to right the human condition is endless. There is no end to it. And the amount of faith human beings put into the next absolutely outrageous strength promising to be stronger than the previous is simply a measure of how hungry people are and how much they are starved for a better tomorrow.
