§82 Suicide is incest gone wrong

Suicide is incest gone wrong.

In “Perpetrator Suicide Following Incest Reporting: Two Case Studies,” James Morrison focuses on the “overburden of intense narcissistic pain” resulting from discovery. “It is common for incest perpetrators to be almost completely preoccupied with the impact that the revelation of sexual abuse will have on them.” “Feelings of abandonment come to the forefront, and suicide seems an option for ending this pain.”

Morrison concludes: “The two cases reported here point out the need for investigators and treatment agencies to be attentive to the possibility of suicide in incest perpetrators.” Some might wonder, Why?
